Electives: #1 Painting
Students generate, develop, and organize artistic ideas through the creative process. They reflect on and analyze personal artwork, the artwork of their peers, and artistically significant works of art. Students improve techniques in watercolor, tempera, and acrylic paint. Genres and art movements studied include landscape, cityscape, still-life, portrait, expressionism, post-impressionism, abstract expressionism, and contemporary art. The final project will include a study of an artist of their choice.
I grade projects using the following rubric.
